Wanstone Rediscovered Evaluation
We conducted an impartial, external evaluation of the exceptional National Trust project located in the stunning White Cliffs of Dover in southeast Kent. Over the past decade, we have fostered a strong relationship with the National Trust team, which led to being contracted to deliver a comprehensive summative evaluation of this project, notable for its significant volunteer participation.
The process began with the creation of a Logic Model, which served as a guiding framework throughout the project's implementation and beyond. Subsequently, we established a set of metrics designed to provide concrete evidence that the project's objectives and organisational goals were being achieved.
Providing a narrative that does justice to a remarkable project
The project thrived on exceptional volunteer engagement at every stage, from design to management and delivery. Although the National Trust appointed a project manager to oversee the initiative, the execution and management of all project components were driven by volunteers.
This impressive accomplishment is reflected in the sheer number of volunteer hours contributed. However, to truly honour the unique narrative of the project, a thoughtfully crafted story—rich with quotes, interviews, and case studies—was essential.
